1. UNLEASH the DOPAMINE!

Have you ever binge-watched a Netflix series? You could go on for hours on end without food or sleep and without getting tired. This is the power of DOPAMINE, a brain chemical that influences your mood and feelings of reward and motivation.

When you start something new, dopamine flows like a fountain….you feel like nothing can stop you!!!
A few weeks into the process, dopamine may have decreased, first problems show and are not so sure if you should follow through?? 
If you hold the excitement level high, you can fight this dopamine drop. Eat well, sleep well, and move your body – basic stuff!! 

Everything in life that is hard is made up of simple steps. Break down a big goal into achievable daily goals. CELEBRATE every time you achieve a goal!

Gamify the process…….try to become faster or deliver better quality, compete against yourself or your colleagues, keep the excitement going!

2. USE THE POWER of THREE
People are often more excited by collecting ideas ? than executing them! It feels great to make colossal to-do lists……it feels terrible not to keep up with them (remember my live girl for August!)…..feeling bad will lower your dopamine levels.

Instead, accomplish three things every day. Plan your day the night before, and write down the three most important tasks for the upcoming day. Start with the most critical task first and stick to it until it’s done. Then celebrate your achievement! 

3. CALM YOUR MIND ???
Through meditation, you can give your mind a mental break. You will be better able to catch thoughts of fear or self-doubt entering your mind, therefore stopping a negative thought from becoming a negative emotion.

4. EMBRACE FAILURE
Don’t get me wrong……I hate to fail but failing is an excellent opportunity to learn! With this mindset, the fear of failure loses it’s power over you

5. LEARN ON THE JOB
Don’t make the mistake of thinking you have to know everything before you get started! Learn as you go along….the important thing is you GOT STARTED!!

THE TAKEAWAY????
You have to get momentum, do something every day! Every small step is a step forward. With the right mindset, you will be able to start and experience how it feels to get MOMENTUM & then you start to fly ✈️
